Die 'Postilla' bietet Predigten zum ganzen Kirchenjahr (außer zum Karfreitag), zu den Aposteltagen und zu vermischten Bibeltexten. Teil 3 der Edition umfasst die Predigten zum sog. Trinitatiskreis, d.h. vom auf das Pfingstfest folgenden Trinitatissonntag bis zum 27. Sonntag nach Trinitatis (mithin bis an die Schwelle der Adventszeit). Der kommentierende Apparat weist Bibelstellen sowie Zitate aus der patristischen, mittelalterlichen und reformatorischen Tradition nach. Der textkritische Apparat informiert über emendatorische Eingriffe und belegt die Varianten der zweiten Auflage der 'Postilla'. Der Band wird durch ein Bibelstellen- und Personenregister erschlossen.

The 'Postilla' contains sermons for the entire church year (with the exception of Good Friday), for the holy days of the Apostles and on a selection of biblical texts. Part 3 of the edition contains the sermons for Trinity Sunday, the first Sunday following Pentecost, to the twenty-seventh Sunday after Trinity Sunday (up to the threshold of the Advent season). The commentaries and annotations substantiate passages from the Bible as well as quotations from the patristic, medieval and Reformation tradition. The critical apparatus provides information on changes or improvements and documents the various versions of the second edition of the 'Postilla'. The volume also contains indexes of biblical passages and persons.
