Gabriela Staebler wurde 1952 im Allgäu geboren. Seit 1989 arbeitet sie als Natur-Fotografin mit dem Spezialgebiet Ostafrika. Sie erhielt zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen bei internationalen Wettbewerben. Ihre Texte und Fotos wurden in verschiedenen Zeitschriften, Büchern und Kalendern veröffentlicht.
