Die von ihm arrangierten afro-karibischen Traditionals "Brown Girl in the Ring", "Sloop John B" und "Long Time Gal" wurden aufgrund ihrer lebhaften Rhythmik und typischen Harmonien ausgewählt. Cornicks Eigenkomposition "Caribbean Escapade" greift ebenfalls die stilistischen Besonderheiten der Region auf. Diese Stücke sind geeignet für fortgeschrittene Spielerinnen und Spieler. Um Kollisionen möglichst zu vermeiden, wurden von Mike Cornick an einzelnen Stellen Fingersätze ergänzt. Für das Üben zuhause gibt es außerdem die Secondo- und Terzo-Stimmen als Gratis-Download auf unserer Website. "4 More Afro-Caribbean Pieces for 6 Hands at 1 Piano" is the second of two volumes of arrangements by Mike Cornick. Suitable for intermediate players, these "trios", are as light-hearted as you would expect, both of the music and the format. They will be excellent material for informal soirées, having fun at a weekend course or perhaps as an encore or finale of a piano class concert. The folk songs in each volume have been chosen for their lively rhythms and robust harmonies and each volume includes an original piece by Mike Cornick that draws on the styles and mannerisms of the region. Mike has provided fingerings to alleviate the inevitable collisions between the many hands in close proximity but says, after all, that is part of the fun.

This volume includes: "Brown Girl in the Ring", "Sloop John B", "Long Time Gal" and Mike's own "Caribbean Escapade".
