Béla Bartók (1881-1945) schuf mit seinen 1931 komponierten 44 Duos für zwei Violinen einzigartige musikalische Miniaturen, die durch die Verwendung osteuropäischer Volksmelodien in Verbindung mit der Musiksprache des 20. Jahrhunderts eine spannende Kombination aus Tradition und Moderne darstellen. Um auch Klarinettistinnen und Klarinettisten - neben der Freude am kammermusikalischen Zusammenspiel - die Möglichkeit zu geben, in diese faszinierende Klangwelt einzutauchen, wurden für die vorliegende Notenausgabe eine Auswahl von 20 Duos für zwei Bb-Klarinetten bearbeitet. Alle Duos erklingen in den Originaltonarten und können somit auch in der Besetzung Klarinette und Violine sowie ein Großteil der Duette auch in der Besetzung Klarinette und Altsaxophon (Nr. 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17) vorgetragen werden. Dazu sollen die entsprechenden Duos aus den Ausgaben für zwei Violinen (UE 10452A und UE 10452B ) bzw. für zwei Altsaxophone (UE36991 ) verwendet werden.Schwierigkeitsgrad: 1-4

Béla Bartók (1881-1945) composed his 44 Duos for Two Violins in 1931. These unique musical miniatures combine folk melodies from Eastern Europe with the musical language of the twentieth century in an exciting blend of tradition and modernity. For the present edition Marcin Langer arranged twenty of these duos for Bb clarinets. The pieces allow players to share the pleasure of chamber music while exploring this fascinating sound world. All the duos sound at the original pitch and can thus be performed by a clarinet and violin. Most of the duets can also be played by a clarinet and alto saxophone combination (nos. 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17).
