Eines der wenigen Schulwerke, dessen Wurzeln mitten in Konzert- und Unterrichtspraxis liegen. Mit dem Ziel, die musikalische Vielseitigkeit der Klarinette von Anfang an möglichst kurzweilig und spannend zu vermitteln, führt Raes Methode den Schüler durch 25 Lektionen. Besonderer Wert wird dabei auf die Schulung des Rhythmus aber auch der Artikulation, Technik, Dynamik und erster moderner Phrasierungen gelegt. Jede Lektion beinhaltet Duette, deren zweite Stimme (Lehrerstimme) bei der Entwicklung der richtigen Klangvorstellung hilft. The aim of this book is to take the player from scratch up to approximately Grade III standard in as short and pleasant a way as possible. Throughout the book a strong emphasis is placed on the importance of rhythm and counting. Each lesson includes duets in which the teacher' s part encourages the pupil to develop the correct "feel" for the music. lntroducing the Clarinet is one of the few methods which has been written by a professional clannettist who has also had great experience in teaching at alllevels.
