Description
Cantate Domino is a short, lightly dancing setting of Psalm 95 cast technically very much in the same mould as the mass, though the key is Bb, with two pairs of voices (S/A, T/B) doubling each other at the octave and four instrumental lines, two of them T-voices, the other two doubling the voices at a higher and lower octave still. Again, in practice, various distributions of voices and instruments can be made. (Paul Hillier, in 'Arvo Pärt', Oxford, New York, 1997, p. 110) Instrumentation: for mixed choir or solists (SATB) and organ Cantate Domino canticum novum für Chor oder Solisten (SATB) und Orgel
