This book is recommended to safety Engineers, who work on Probabilistic risk assessment to be able to predict the failure occurrence before happen and take the precaution actions to prevent it. It also recommended to nuclear engineers to help them to determine the maintenance priorities for nuclear reactor components, because of the methodology applied. This project is a continuing point, for this reason both methodology and results which were performed here, could be improved and used in future developments. Not only in nuclear field, but in many other industries such as aerospace, Petrochemicals or chemical industries, where the failure rate and the risk can be important as well. The main result from this project was modified Probabilistic safety Assessment and recalculating the core damage frequency for Spanish nuclear power plant to become safer and reliable. This project effects on the capital economical cost for both maintenance and safety processes in nuclear power plants.It also enhance the reactor productivity by preventing operational problems and minimizing its shutdowns.
