Description

(Text)
The book attempts both to introduce and summarize the past and present of the studies devoted to the origins of life (or life in general) from a special, basically quantum physical point of view. It openly discusses solved and unsolved problems, and is sincere enough to admit that quantum theoretically there are problems, touching the very heart of the question, such as the primeval "endophysical" symmetry breakings (in the author's results, that of time) that are not yet clear. In fact, the origin of life, from a strict microphysical point of view, remains a mystery; however, the author feels that by finding the "why's" of spontaneous endophysical symmetry breakings, the whole general picture will be clear. As for the introduced asymmetry of internal/external time evolutions, emerging out of a "nonlinear" C_ ("endophysical") quantum measurement event chain, it is shown that internal biomolecular (or "natural") symbol has the special function of space mapping of the internal "reverse" time evolution. Finally, as an outlook, the book devotes some attention to extending the scope of quantum measurement to the multicellular nervous systems in evolution, with Stapp's model as a start.

I got my BSc. in Biology and Msc.in Theor.Chem.at Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest, HUNGARY, in 1974/1976. I early got acquainted with quantum chemistry, first as a student, then working, from 1977-1981 at the Theor.Chem.Lab of ELTE.From 1981-1996 I worked as a biophysicist at the Dept.of Atomic Phys.I got my PhD in Biology ("Candidate") in 1992.
