Description
(Text)
African girl is a story about a dynamic African girl named Shade, who would never take no for answer. At a very tender age she lost her father, this triggered members of her late father's family to make advances towards her mother, in order to remarry one of them so that the mother could procure a male child to be named after the dead man under their culture. Shade's mother declined and rebuked the acclaimed barbaric culture which she paid dearly for when she fled before the callous men invoked their wrath on her. Though life was made difficult for Shade and her siblings but she never gave up on her dreams to climb to the top. She made a first class during her first degree at the University and travelled to the United States of America for better opportunities to come her way. Having visited Florida, Atlanta Georgia and California for jobs without securing anyone, fortune however, smiled at the African American girl Shade in Washington D.C The book is very educative and informative, it is hereby recommended to be at every home, public library and school shelves for young and old readers to read. There is no excuse for failure in life. The glory of champions speak for them always.
