The book poses serious questions on Women Rights in theory and as practised by Islamic traditions. It is an indepth analysis of women's role and how they are looked into in the social imagination of Muslim community. It makes an modest attempt to offer a critique of most of the policies related to the personal laws applicable to Muslim community. Even though Uniform Civil Code offers some refreshing ideas, yet the solution lies within the community itself. The reform movement has to be initiated from within the community.
