Tef is a very climate dynamic plant it can grown under drought and under water logged condition. Now a days tef becomes one of the most important cereal crops in making different infant foods by using to incorporate its flour with some other food making items in food industries; thereby users can get its important items in it. Tef has an important characteristic in that, unlike that of wheat, tef does not contain gluten which suffers several peoples who do have in digestion problems. Improving the productivity of tef and its adaptation to different parts of the globe do play a significant role in food security as well as nutritional value and health aspects of human being.

Belay, AchenefThe author was born on February 1974 in North Gondar Zone,Dabat woreda of the Amhara regional state,Ethiopia.He attended his junior and high school classes in Dabat junior and senior secondary high school, Diploma in plant science & technology 1998, BSc in plant production & dry land farming 2001 and MSc.in Agronomy 2008/09 from Hawassa University.
