Role of patient counselling is to improve quality of life and provide quality care for patients. The occurrence of so called "drug misadventures" (adverse effects, side effects, drug interactions and errors in use of medication)and non-adherence to treatment program reduce quality of life and interfere with quality care. In present day competitive environment, there is a concern that health care quality is being compromised in rush to lower costs.
