The aim of this book is to contribute to existing knowledge on the life of Constance Markievicz. It provides a resource for those who wish to understand Markievicz from the perspectives of her writings and the biographies of her life. This book focuses on a specific period of her life from 1908 to 1927, as it was during this time that she completed many writings. It is not the intention of this book to tell the entire life story of Constance Markievicz, nor to contradict any current knowledge about her life, but it is hoped that it will arouse interest in her writings and appreciate the role she played in Irish history by providing further insight into her biography, activism and legacy.
