Description
The aim of this book is to synthesize some novel heterocyclic compounds starting from easily obtainable enamines. Therefore, the work have been divided into two parts; the first one is the synthesis of acryclic enamine, namely 2-cyano-3-(dimethylamino)-N-(4-phenylthiazol-2-yl)acrylamide and study its behavior towards some different nucleophiles to attain polyfunctionally substituted heterocyclic system of potential pharmaceutically interest. The second part is the synthesis of aminopyrazole derivative which has a latent enamine skeleton and study its reactivity towards various types of 1,3-biselectophilic reagents to obtain annulated pyrazole derivatives which have expected pharmacological activity. The methods of synthesis and the synthetic mechanisms of the aforementioned reactions were well presented and the structures of these compounds were assessed by analytical and spectral data. He was born in Cairo (1950). He has obtained his B.Sc. from Cairo University (1971) and M.Sc. from Mansoura University (1975). He has obtained his Ph.D. from Moscow State University (1981). He is a reviewer for The Permanent Scientific Committee of Organic Chemistry (1991) and prizes for Outstanding Research, Ain-Shams University (2004).
