In life, people make character judgements about an individual based on how one handles social and professional events. Regular updates in etiquette are necessary both in business and social life. Business grooming and deportment is intended for anyone who strives for professional conduct in the workplace. Although individuals were socialised differently, one s behaviour must not negatively affect others in the workplace. One s background and profession may determine one s dressing including accessories, hairstyles and make-up. Professionals ought to know that dressing itself is a form of communication, as such; they should endeavour to avoid making visual noise through their dress. Many professionals conduct themselves badly during business luncheons mainly because of lack of proper etiquette regarding business meals. A job interview is an opportunity for candidates to market themselves; some people however fail interviews by overdoing it. Managing stress at work is as difficult as managing time at work. In life, everyone has the same amount of time though no one feels they have enough, how to effectively utilize time often presents challenges. Mirriam Jengeta worked as an administrative consultant in Zimbabwe. She holds a BTE-Business Studies and an MSC Strategic Management both from Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) and an HND in Secretarial Studies from HEXCO.
