Crossing Borders‾-- Combining Human Rights Education and History Education explores some of the multiple ways in which history education and Human Rights education can be combined and interlinked in order to empower learners for participatory and inclusive democratic citizenship.
The book includes twelve articles offering different perspectives on the combination and thus crosses borders between not only the two fields of education, but also between educational policy, theory and practice. Crossing Borders investigates how these links can be created in a variety of national contexts and educational arenas, which approaches and aspects of both fields are best suited, but also the challenges in doing so.
