Description
The aim of this work was to learn more about important aspects of airport engineering projects, as well as the design methods applicable to them, with a focus on regional aerodromes. The necessary legal aspects were researched in national and international manuals. The terminal calculation method used was the Medeiros method, as it best suited the national reality. Demand was estimated using the cross-section method associated with the moving average and seasonality model. The runway was calculated in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Airport project development is a somewhat complex task. In Brazil, the prospects for opportunities in the area are enormous due to the country's backwardness in the aviation sector (the government is signaling growing investments to adapt the country's aviation infrastructure) and the lack of qualified professionals to take on the positions that arise. This panorama was the great motivator for this work. Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Piauí. Master's degree in Structures and Civil Construction from the University of Brasília - UnB. He is currently a PhD student at UnB. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Structures, constitutive and computational modeling of materials and structures; fracture mechanics.
