Description

There are different types of soil, each with different characteristics. Those with the best conditions are more exploited, leaving those considered fragile, problematic for performing certain functions. As such, there are many alternatives for qualifying the material in question, such as trying to improve its physical properties in order to give it greater resistance capacity. This attempt at reinforcement can be done in various ways, such as adding PET fibres, sisal, polypropylene and tyre shavings, as well as improving the characteristics by including chemical and organic additives. Graduated in Maths and Civil Engineering from PUCPR. Master's in Civil Construction from UFPR. Professor at PUCPR since 1997. Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Construction Management at PUCPR.
