Description

Repairs may be temporary or permanent, depending on the clinical situation.The process generally involves accurate repositioning of fractured components, proper surface preparation, and use of suitable repair materials such as autopolymerizing acrylic resin. In some cases, reinforcement with metal mesh or fibers may be needed to improve strength. Occlusion and fit must be carefully evaluated after repair to prevent recurrence.Successful denture repair restores patient comfort and function while extending the lifespan of the prosthesis.
