Hrsg. von Herwig Maehler.
This new Teubner edition is based on a thorough revision of all the original papyrus manuscripts published thus far and on the results of the editor's commentary, the second and concluding part of which was published in Leiden in 1997. The fragments preserved as quotations by later prose authors have also been revised, as have the two papyri which preserve parts of ancient commentaries on the poet's Victoty Odes and Dithyrambs. The preface has also been revised and partly rewritten. This new edition contains the most up-to-date account of what we now know about the texts of this great, but sadly underrated, contemporary of Pindar and Aeschylus.
