Full Description
The Sanskrit Dictionary of the Buddhist Texts from the Turfan Finds and of the Canonical Literature of the Sarv? Stiv? Da School is a bilingual (Sanskrit-German) dictionary that lexicographically opens up early Buddhist literature. Due to the detail of the quotations and the complete inclusion of vocabulary and references to the evaluated texts, with a few exceptions, the dictionary has both the character of a special concordance and that of a general phraseology of the Buddhist Sanskrit of the canonical Sarv? Stiv? Da texts. The texts included in the dictionary contain a large part of the common phrases of Buddhist Sanskrit. It thus makes a significant contribution to Indian lexicography. The dictionary is published in volumes of 80 pages and will comprise 30 volumes.
