Der religiöse Philosoph Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin (1743-1803) war der gebildetste und treueste Anhänger von Martines de Pasqually (1727(?)-1774). Er bemühte sich, die Glaubenslehre und das spezielle System des ca. 1764 von Pasqually gegründeten Freimaurerordens der Élus coëns (Auserwählte Priester) bekanntzumachen. Die Instructions sur la Sagesse (Unterweisungen über die Weisheit) und deren Suite (Ergänzung) wurden herausgegeben von Robert Amadou nach der originalen Handschrift. Nochmals lehrt Saint-Martin seine Brüder. Es folgt eine lange philosophische Studie von Robert Amadou über das Leben und die Werke Saint-Martins. Die vorliegende Auflage, überarbeitet und bereichert durch drei Ergänzungen, wurde herausgegeben von Catherine Amadou.

Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin (1743-1803), a religious philosopher, the most learned and faithful disciple of Martines de Pasqually (1727(?)-1774), eagerly announced the doctrine and the peculiar system of the masonic order of the Élus coëns (Elected Priests) founded by Pasqually around 1764. The Instructions sur la Sagesse (Wisdom Teachings) and their Suite (Continuation) are edited by Robert Amadou according to Saint-Martin's original manuscript. Once again Saint-Martin is instructing his brothers. It is followed by a long philosophical study on Saint-Martin's life and works by Robert Amadou. This new revised edition including three supplementary texts is edited by Catherine Amadou.
