Die Arbeit behandelt die Frage, unter welchen Voraussetzungen der Unfall eines selbständig fahrenden Autos dem Hersteller zuzurechnen ist. Zur Bestimmung von Produktfehlern ohne normative Anknüpfungspunkte wird das erlaubte Risiko untersucht und systematisiert. Es wird zudem behandelt, wie sich die Black-Box-Eigenschaft der Fahrzeug-KI auf den Pflichtwidrigkeitszusammenhang und auf mögliche strafrechtliche Updatepflichten auswirkt. »Automated Vehicles and Criminal Product Liability. A Contribution to the Unregulated Permitted Risk«: This thesis examines the conditions under which an accident involving an autonomous vehicle can be attributed to the manufacturer. In order to determine product defects without normative connecting factors, the permissible risk is examined and systematized. After completing his first state examination in 2018 with a focus on commercial and corporate law, he obtained his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Janique Brüning at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. During this time, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Thomas Rönnau at Bucerius Law School. He then completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg.
