Description
"A Bridge Between Worlds" is a story about a mother who lives between two cultures - the country where she was born and the place she now calls home. When her son begins to ask where he comes from, she returns to Rwanda and to the memories she once tried to leave behind. The book explores identity, belonging, and healing. It shows how we can build bridges between past and future, pain and hope, and between different worlds of the heart. Judence Kayitesi was born into a Tutsi family in Rwanda in 1983. The genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda took place in 1994 when she was 11 years old. She survived, seriously injured in the head by a machete, the period in which almost 1 million people, mostly Tutsi, were murdered in the most horrific ways in about hundred days. She lost her parents and many of her relatives and couldn't speak for four years. This influenced her entire life and continues to do so today. Judence Kayitesi is qualified educator for Children, workshop trainer and founder of INZOZI Publisher.
