Switzerland's diversity is also reflected in its chief towns. While the smallest chief town, Appenzell, is very rural, the largest chief town is the vibrant business city of Zurich. International Geneva based on the lake is very different from Chur, the Alpine city, or even Bellinzona with its castles and a touch of "Italianità". The chief towns could not be more different.
