Die Texte des ersten Teils befassen sich mit dem Prozess und der Vernehmung Jesu durch den Sanhedrin, die Texte im zweiten Teil mit dem Prozess vor Pontius Pilatus. Die Texte im dritten Teil behandeln die Kreuzigung als Exekutionsmethode in der Antike. Zu jedem Schriftstück liefern die Autoren den Originaltext (hebräisch, aramäisch, griechisch, lateinisch, usw.), eine Übersetzung und einen Kommentar. Der Kommentar beschreibt den literarischen Kontext und den Zweck des Schriftstücks in diesem Kontext; danach werden Details näher beleuchtet und der Beitrag des Textes zum Verständnis von Jesu Prozess und Kreuzigung wird kommentiert.
