Dieser Band dokumentiert einen mehrjährigen interdisziplinären und internationalen Austausch über Gesetzeskonzeptionen zwischen Juristen und Theologen, Naturwissenschaftlern und Philosophen. Dabei wurden Analogien und Differenzen zwischen Gesetzeskonzeptionen in verschiedenen Wissenschaften erkundet, um die Möglichkeit eines tragfähigen interdisziplinären Gesetzesbegriffes auszuloten. Die Beiträge greifen Anliegen der Naturrechtsdebatte auf, gehen aber davon aus, dass eine kritische Partnerschaft von "Vernunft und Religion" nicht allein im Gespräch zwischen Theologie und Philosophie hergestellt werden kann. Für ein Gedeihen der Partnerschaft von "Vernunft und Religion" sind inhaltliche Diskurse mit verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen und das Eingehen auf ihre Methoden und Denkformen erforderlich. Leitend ist die Frage nach einer multidisziplinären und international tragfähigen Gesetzeskonzeption, welche die Intention der Naturrechtsdebatte aufgreift, ihre Schwächen aber überwindet.
