Description
As a result of World War II, approximately 1.8 million refugees and displaced persons from Eastern Europe arrived in what is now Lower Saxony. Accommodations were established for them in camps and settlements, as well as places of worship. This volume presents examples of these architectural testimonies to the history of integration. It places particular emphasis on their preservation, while also addressing the specific challenges of future museum presentations and educational outreach.
