Description
The book series Beihefte zur Zeitschrift für romanische Philologie is among the most renowned publications in Romance Studies. It covers the entire field of Romance linguistics, including the national languages as well as the lesser studied Romance languages. The series publishes high-quality monographs and collected volumes on all areas of linguistic research, on medieval literature and on textual criticism.
This volume presents, for the first time, the edition of an early codification of norms in the vernacular, a text important for the understanding of medieval Sardinia. It provides a parallel presentation of its two versions, in Sardinian and Latin, together with a detailed description of all text witnesses, a study of the language including glossary and name index, as well as an appendix with essays setting out the work's historical context.
