Dieser Sammelband vereinigt sechsundzwanzig Beiträge zur byzantinischen Literatur, in denen renommierte Byzantinisten Themen aus dem Bereich der Epistolografie, Historiografie, Hagiografie, Philologie und Prosopografie behandeln. Unter den untersuchten Texten bzw. Dokumenten finden sich etliche, die neu ediert worden sind.
