Description

The Bibliotheca Teubneriana, established in 1849, has evolved into the world's most venerable and extensive series of editions of Greek and Latin literature, ranging from classical to Neo-Latin texts. Some 4-5 new editions are published every year. This is a critical edition of all of the surviving orations and fragments by the orator Hypereides. Thanks to the papyrus fragments rediscovered in the last one hundred years and the texts made available in the Archimedes palimpsest, the text corpus published here contains one-fifth more material than in the edition published by Jensen in 1917.
