Full Description

This contributed volume offers a variety of chapters that examine the latest research in plant ecology, physiology, and agriculture in order to provide an understanding of the impacts of rise in temperature on plant species, populations, and communities. The book explores the history of temperature-plant relationship and plants' microbial, and physiological responses to changes in temperature. The book also includes chapters discussing different models developed to predict the impacts of the rising temperature on plants.

Adaptation strategies, including genomic editing to make plants more heat-resilient, are also discussed, in addition to an exploration of policies to protect the plants from rising temperatures. The book concludes by discussing the implications of rising temperature impacts on plant diversity, reproduction, adaptation, conservation, and management. It highlights the need for a consolidated approach to combine physiological, ecological, biotechnological, and evolutionary perspectives to mitigate the effects of rising temperature on plant kingdom. This book is a crucial resource for students, researchers, plant ecologists, environmental scientists, and conservation biologists who want to understand the complex interactions between temperature and plants. It provides a foundation for developing effective strategies to protect plant diversity and ecosystem resilience in this rapidly warming world.
