Description

This is the 38th issue of Springer s Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics series, the official book series of the Eurasia Business and Economics Society (EBES, www.ebesweb.org). This issue features selected papers presented at the 51st EBES Conference, held in Rome on April 11-13, 2025, and hosted by John Cabot University, Rome, Italy. At the conference, 257 papers were presented by 543 colleagues from 68 countries. The conference was held in a hybrid format, featuring both in-person and online paper presentations.

Prof. Mehmet Huseyin Bilgin earned his PhD in Economics from the Department of Economics at Abant Izzet Baysal University (Türkiye). He joined Kadir Has University (Türkiye) as an assistant professor in 2000 and became an associate professor in macroeconomics in 2005, and a full professor in the Department of International Economic Integration at Istanbul Medeniyet University (Türkiye) in 2011. He served at the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University between 2011 and 2025. Professor Bilgin has published many studies in reputable international journals indexed in leading scientific databases, presented his research at numerous international conferences, and authored several academic books. 

Hakan Danis is the Head of Macro Scenario Design at Citi. Dr. Danis worked as the Director in Economic Scenarios and OpRisk Modeling at MUFG (USA) and at the Spanish multinational global bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in the USA as Senior Economist. He is one of the founders and the first President of EBES. 

Sergio Scicchitano is the Chair and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the John Cabot University in Rome. He is also the Leader of the Coronavirus thematic research group and the Italy country research group at the Global Labor Organization (GLO) and Section Editor for "Covid-19" in the 2022 Handbook of Labor, Human Resources and Population Economics. He is Associate Editor of the Eurasian Economic Review. He was the Chair of the Scientific Committee for the GLO 2024 Conference in Berlin.  He was a Visiting Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Sapienza University of Rome. 

Barbara Sveva Magnanelli is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Management at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, where she previously served as Chair of the Department of Business Administration. She earned her Ph.D. in Management (Accounting track) from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome in 2011, following completion of both a Bachelor s degree in Business and a Master of Science in Business Administration at the same institution.
