Description
This book focuses on the integration of intelligent communication systems, control systems, and devices related to all aspects of engineering and sciences. It includes high-quality research papers from the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Communication, Control, and Devices (ICICCD 2025), organized by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, School of Advanced Engineering, at UPES, Dehradun, India, during June 19 20, 2025. The topics covered are a range of recent advances in intelligent communication, intelligent control, intelligent devices, and sustainable technologies.
Abhinav Sharma received his B.Tech. from H. N. B. Garhwal University, Srinagar, India, in 2009 and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, India, in 2011 and 2016. He is working as an associate professor in Electrical Cluster, School of Advanced Engineering in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. He has taught subjects such as data communication networks, microprocessors and embedded systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning, communication systems. He has publications in Nature, IEEE, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, and many other national and international journals and conferences. His field of interest includes adaptive array signal processing, biomedical signal processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, optimization techniques, and smart antennas.
Vibhu Jately is a senior member of IEEE. He received the Ph.D. degree from G. B. Pant University, Pantnagar, India. Following that, he was an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Wollo University, Ethiopia, under the United Nations Development Program. After that, he was a postdoctoral research fellow with the MCAST Energy Research Group, Malta, where he was the task leader of European H2020 Projects, for two years. Currently, he is an associate professor with the School of Advanced Engineering and the School of Computer Science, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. He has over ten years of teaching and research experience. His area of research interests include power electronics converter topologies, power electronics applications in power systems, advanced control strategies for grid integration of PVs, microgrids, and the use of AI techniques in PV applications.
Deepak Kumar is currently employed as a research associate at Chair for Electron Devices and Integrated Circuits, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, since August 2022. He is continuing his research with DFG funded project Experimental characterization and compact modeling of high-field effects in CNTFET channels . He also served as an assistant professor (Senior scale) in Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at UPES, Dehradun (July 2015 May 2022). He has done Ph.D. from UPES in the field of Dye Sensitized Solar cells (Simulation and experimental study). He obtained his M.Tech. degree from IIT-K in 2015 with specialization in VLSI-Microelectronics and received B.Tech. degree in Electronics Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University in 2011. He has worked as an IEEE student branch counselor at UPES and faculty coordinator for spoken tutorial-IITB. He is also serving as an active member at Germany Chip Design program.
Brian Azzopardi received the B.Eng. degree (Hons.) in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Malta, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Manchester, U.K., in 2011. Currently, he is a senior lecturer II and the founding chair of Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) Energy Research Group, the founding chair of The Foundation for Innovation and Research Malta (FiR.mt), and a visiting senior lecturer with the University of Malta. He was previously an associate professor and a senior researcher with the Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. He is the coordinator of the H2020 and Horizon Europe Projects, JUMP2Excel.eu, NEEMO-Project.eu, PVPROMISE.eu, and TRANSITproject.eu. His research interests include clean energy technologies, renewable energy integration, sustainable power systems, and energy and environmental economics.
