Description
This book explores the design, analysis, and performance of laminated composite materials specifically tailored for the aerospace industry. It discusses the critical role these materials play in enhancing the performance, safety, and efficiency of modern aircraft. The coverage includes advanced topics such as fiber-based composites, fiber-metal laminates, and sandwich structures with various core materials. Special attention is given to case studies, in addition to theoretical analysis.
Laminated Composites in Aircraft Applications is an important resource for aerospace engineers, researchers, and materials scientists seeking to deepen their understanding of laminated composites in aircraft design and applications.
Carbon Fiber Based Laminates in Fuselage Components.- Fiberglass Composites in Radome Applications.- Aramid Reinforced Polymers in Structural Parts.- Fiber Metal Laminates in Aircraft Structures.- Foam Core Sandwich Structures in Aircraft.- Honeycomb Core Laminates in Wing Structures.- Cork Based Composites for Aircraft Flooring.- Laminates With Metallic Mesh for Lightning Protection.
