Description

This book aims to discuss and present recent developments in the areas of materials, manufacturing, energy and application of AI in the manufacturing technologies, which are smart and sustainable. These four areas are the major components in the growth and development of a country. Newer developments in materials are helping in various applications like smart materials, newer materials, nanomaterials, bio-materials, etc., which are bringing revolutionary changes in the way materials are used. Manufacturing is the backbone of any economy and the focus in on adoption of sustainable and smart practices to improve quality and productivity. Energy is one crucial sector, which determines the survival of nations. Too much dependence on fossil fuels has caused lot of problems like shortage, pollution, and associated problems like global warming and ozone depletion. There is a need to look at alternative energy sources and its effective and smart harnessing, to promote sustainability.

Dimensionless-performance of counter-cross-flow heat-exchanger.- Using dynamic programming method in passenger flow distribution to optimise the urban infrastructure development in the conditions of sustainable development.- Effect of adhesive on the performance of Laminated Veneer Lumber.- Vacuum Gas Oils Nano- Added Fuels of Enhanced Physicochemical Properties.- Performance Assessment and Thermodynamic Analysis of Different Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Configurations for IC Engine Waste Heat Recovery.- etc..
