This book aims to discuss and present recent developments in the areas of materials, manufacturing, energy and application of AI in the manufacturing technologies, which are smart and sustainable. These four areas are the major components in the growth and development of a country. Newer developments in materials are helping in various applications like smart materials, newer materials, nanomaterials, bio-materials, etc., which are bringing revolutionary changes in the way materials are used. Manufacturing is the backbone of any economy and the focus in on adoption of sustainable and smart practices to improve quality and productivity. Energy is one crucial sector, which determines the survival of nations.
