Jean-Jules Eggericx (1884-1963) is known internationally for the design of two Garden Cities in Brussels (Floreal and Le Logis). Both are regularly used as locations for films including Claude Chabrols 'Rapture' and Toto the Hero by Jaco van Dormael. As a refugee in England during the First World War, Eggericx visited and studies Letchworh Garden City in Hertfordshire the first Garden City constructed from the plans of Ebenezer Howard the pioneer of the Garden City movement. Because of this association he is known as the 'most British' of Belgian architects. Text in French only.
