With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989, communist ideology and the fight for equality were ousted by economic liberalism. Capitalist and liberal ideology reigns supreme throughout the world, in three particular forms: globalized liberalism (Biden), sovereignist liberalism (Trump) and statist liberalism (China).
To make it clear what is at stake in the Western world between the first two forms of liberalism, André Bercoff has placed opposite each other quotes from the two main propagandists, namely Elon Musk, an assertive representative of sovereignist, or libertarian, liberalism, and Klaus Schwab, the propagandist of globalized liberalism.
The former is an entrepreneur and founder of SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter. He is one of Donald Trump's main supporters. He was appointed by Trump to the Department of Government Efficiency.
The second founded the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland) in 1987. In his wake, he promoted the "Young Global Leaders", who include Emmanuel Macron, Von der Leyen, Mark Zuckerberg, Gabriel Attal and Marlène Schiappa. He is the author of "The Great Reinitialization", which advocates global economic planning, of which "the Covid crisis represented a great opportunity to reform the system", he explains.
