A young screenwriter who has skyrocketed to success on the back of his groundbreaking writing abilities discovers his pen is poisoned when all the people he has based his characters on meet untimely deaths. When a new love interest sparks his creativity, will he risk further misfortune or retire his pen forever?
Yoichi is freeloading at a run-down brothel when, after watching one of Kei Kitahara's movies for the first time, he suddenly discovers his purpose in life—photography. In a twist of fate, Yoichi finds himself taking pity on a drunk lying in the gutter, only to discover it's Kei Kitahara himself. The two spend glorious days together, and while Yoichi's love for his idol grows, so too does his realization of how far apart in talent they are. Feeling left behind, his love soon begins to fester, twisting his desire for them to grow old together into something far worse—a suicide pact!
