Full Description
When the bomb exploded, it was a battle against time to save Craig's life. Under intense gunfire, he was airlifted out of the Green Zone, Afghanistan, and taken to Camp Bastion where field medics were forced to amputate both his legs and his left arm. It was a miracle he made it out alive.
He woke up from a coma to find three of his limbs gone and a face he no longer recognised. Doctors told him he'd never walk again - the trauma was that severe.
The odds were stacked against him - mentally and physically - but Craig pushed himself to walk again using bionic limbs. Then, unbelievably, he changed the course of his life forever by challenging himself to sail around the world with only one arm. The journey wasn't easy. His battlefield scars were deep but through every test nature threw at him, he healed a little more.
FINDING MY SEA LEGS is Craig Wood's brutally honest account of how he rebuilt his body and mind after being left with life-changing injuries.
It is a true story of superhuman determination, strength of mind and resilience unlike any other - with a touch of dark humour along the way.
