Full Description
CABIN WILD is a richly illustrated collection of journeys,
stories and practical information from bivouac huts across the European Alps,
serving both as a source of inspiration and a guide to adventure. Combining
evocative mountain photography with historical insight and personal reflection,
CABIN WILD explores the cultural significance of these modest shelters, beacons
of hospitality, resilience and alpine heritage. It offers a lens through which
to experience the Alps not only as a physical landscape but as a shared space
shaped by history and imagination.
Volume Two continues eastward from Mont Blanc through
the Pennine Alps (Valais and Aosta), Bernese Alps, Lepontine and Rhaetian Alps
(Bernina and Ortler) and all the way to the Dolomites.
