Full Description
Birth Care Abuse condemns prevalent abuses in perinatal care, and demands radical reform of the way we care for all those having or trying to have babies. This challenging view of perinatal treatment may be painful for clients and threatening for caregivers.
Caregivers like to think they offer sensitive and expert clinical care, but perinatal practice is often abusive. It includes physical or sexual assaults, and inadequate evidence-based treatment. Abuse is far more common than we ever wanted to imagine.
