Meet the Signing Friends - a series focused on helping you and
your child learn Makaton through story books. Produced in association with the
Makaton Charity.
Each book features colourful and inclusive illustrations
alongside stories that utilise vocabulary from the Makaton Language Programme.
Inside you'll find a QR code which will take you to a bespoke video
demonstrating how to sign the text so that you can in turn read and enjoy the
book with your child/ren.
It's time for Poppy to get ready for bed. Join her as she has a
bath, gets into her pyjamas, reads a story and listens to a lullaby. But oh
dear! What is that noise that keeps her awake? Sign along with the story to
find out!
As with every book in the Signing Friends range, Poppy's Bedtime
includes a QR code inside the front cover taking you to an instructional
Makaton-signed video to help you pre-learn the signs contained in the book.
