This interactive online aid teaches the basics of dosage calculation and tests student's comprehension. Modules can be assigned and progress tracked by an instructor or students can elect to use the course for reinforcement/remediation purposes. Five core modules include the material usually covered in a traditional dosage calculation course. They focus on measurement systems, calculations for oral drugs, calculations for injectable drugs and calculations for intravenous drugs. Each module consists of a tutorial, practice problems, case studies, and a module quiz. The course covers three methods of dosage calculation (ratio and proportion, formula method, and dimensional analysis). The quiz portion of the course can be used with a gradebook to track students' performance. Three bonus modules cover remedial or peripheral information and can be assigned by instructors or used by students as extra help.
