This is the first monograph for Venezuelan artist Magdalena Fernández (born 1964), whose work strikes a balance between modernization and the natural world. It charts her career from the early 1990s, when she produced a series of austere structures and photographs in Italy, to her recent videos and large-scale installations in the landscapes of Mexico.
