Full Description
Patty's Toxicology was originally published as Patty's Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology in 1948 and has long been recognized as the premier reference for toxicological information on a large number of industrial chemicals. It includes comprehensive toxicological data for industrial compounds, including CAS numbers, physical and chemical properties, exposure limits, and biological tolerance values for occupational exposures.
The new edition provides updates for 90 chapters and features 20 new chapters. New Editors-in-Chief, and for the first time a group of Associate editors, bring a diverse new perspective and a more international focus.
Expanded with close to 1,000 more pages than the previous edition
New chapters added to the introductory volume of the book include Biotransformation of Xenobiotics, Toxicokinetics, Genetic Toxicology, Cancer Risk Assessment, Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology, and the setting of Occupational Exposure Limits
Several sections are reorganized and expanded including Agricultural Chemicals and Nanomaterials which covers Insecticides, Herbicides, Agricultural Triazole Fungicide, Rodenticides, Insect Repellents (DEET) and Others, and Combined Pesticide Exposure
Other new chapters include Diesel Exhaust, Occupational Biomonitoring, Toxicokinetics, Computational Toxicology, Genetic Toxicology, Immunotoxicology, Genetic Susceptibility in Occupational Health, Formaldehyde, Acrylates, and Silicones
An essential reference for industrial hygienists, toxicologists, occupational physicians, chemical hygiene officers, chemical plant managers, and reference libraries.
