Full Description
Having discovered that holotropic breathwork (HBW), an experiential psychotherapy, was highly effective in significantly reducing emotional distress and, after a period of time, death anxiety, in a small group of subjects, the author searched for the reasons for this. He discovered that HBW was anchored in a transpersonal model of the psyche, which was supported by the new paradigms in science. The theoretical findings from quantum physics, chaos theory, meaningful coincidences, and morphic resonance support this perspective that we are entangled in an intelligent multi-verse, which directs us on our own level. Likewise, investigation of near-death experiences and reincarnation further promotes the assertion that consciousness exists independently of the brain. The book finds that we need to adopt a more comprehensive meta-paradigm that would include these findings. The author concludes that a rapid, radical shift in our worldview is necessary.
