Full Description
The Bulleid Pacifics of BR's former Southern Region have always generated great interest. Some were in service right up to 1967, when steam operations ended in the south of England, often running in a deplorable state of repair. But with their eventual demise, interest only strengthened. Over thirty of these locomotives still exist in preservation today in one form or another, with some returning to steam on heritage lines, and even to the main line where they have now gained a whole new following of enthusiasts.
With over 240 previously unpublished colour photographs ranging from the 1990s right up to the mid-2020s, Preserved Bulleid Pacifics: Heritage and Main Line showcases these iconic locomotives in the south of England like never before.
