Noted Papyrologist Dr Pieter Johannes Sijpesteijn died in 1996. This publication is a collection of papers dedicated to his memory from his fellow papyrologists. The contributions provide an appealing impression of the multifarious content of papyri from Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine Egypt.
