The Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland commemorated its opening with a two-day "Celebration of Biological Science". This public event brought together more than a dozen Nobel Laureates, internationally recognized scientists, and public figures to reflect on the phenomenon of biological discovery in the 20th century - and to speculate on possible directions for the life sciences in the 21st century. This CD-ROM enables the user to experience this event as it happened. The disk contains the transcripts of these historic lectures, along with images and select audio.
